Refunds & Cancellation

1. How to cancel

Cancel from the billing page inside your account, or email billing@methatechno.com from your registered address. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.

Cancelling stops future renewals. Your account stays fully usable until the end of the month you have already paid for, and is then closed.

2. What we refund

• Whole months not yet started. If you paid annually or for several months in advance and cancel part-way through, we refund the full months that have not begun.
• Unused AI credits. Part of every subscription is AI generation credit. Whatever you have not consumed at the point of cancellation is refunded.
• Billing errors. Duplicate charges, charges taken after a confirmed cancellation, and incorrect amounts are refunded in full as soon as we confirm the error.
• Unauthorised charges. Tell us and we will investigate and refund promptly where a charge was not authorised.

3. What we cannot refund

• The current month. Once a month has begun it is not refundable, in whole or in part. We buy server capacity on annual contracts and commit it monthly, so that cost is already spent whether you use the month or not. Cancel on the 3rd or the 28th and the position is the same.
• Domain registration and renewal fees. Registrars do not refund these to us under any circumstances, so we cannot refund them to you. The domain remains yours for the period paid, and you are free to transfer it away.
• One-time set-up, deployment and white-label licence fees once work has started.
• Accounts closed for breach of our Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Worked example

You pay for twelve months in January and cancel on 15 June. June is already running, so it is not refunded. July to December have not started, so those six months are refunded, along with any AI credits still unused. If you registered a domain through us, that fee stays with the registrar and is not refunded.

5. If we terminate

If we close your account without cause, we refund every month you have paid for that has not been fully used, including the current one, plus unused AI credits. Domain fees remain non-refundable for the reason above.

6. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds go through Stripe to the original payment method, in the original currency. We process them within 5 business days of approval; your bank may take a further 5 to 10 business days to show the credit. We cannot compensate for exchange-rate movement or bank charges.

7. Your data after cancellation

Published sites go offline when the paid period ends. Export your content at any time before then; we keep it for 30 days after closure so the account can be restored on request, after which it is deleted from active systems and backups age out within a further 30 days. Domains you have registered remain yours — simply repoint or transfer them.

8. Before you raise a dispute

If you believe a charge is wrong, please email billing@methatechno.com before contacting your bank. We answer billing enquiries within one business day and can almost always resolve it faster than a chargeback would.
